Gabriel Stein-Bodenheimer (he/him) is a high school English teacher and writer. He has nearly a decade of classroom teaching experience and has presented workshops on inclusive curriculum and pedagogy at the Californian Teachers of English Conference (CATE). Stein-Bodenheimer's memoir-in-progress tells the story of his first year on testosterone and his trailblazing coming out while teaching at a Catholic high school in San Fransisco. His writing has appeared in Alma, Kithe, and the forthcoming Trans Bodies, Trans Selves Second Edition. He lives with his wife and two mischievous cats on Clackamas, Cowlitz, and Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde land now know as Portland, Oregon.
